There is an emergency meeting of the Analy Nursery School on Tuesday (1/15) at 6:30 p.m. at the school at 466 Johnson St. in Sebastopol. Parents and the community at large are invited to help solve the threatened closure of the co-op nursery.

The Bunya Bunya tree issue will be addressed at a meeting of the Sebastopol City Tree Committee at a meeting Wednesday (1/16) at 4 p.m. in City Hall. The chain saw or not? This is your chance to speak up.

There is a divorce workshop Wednesday (1/16) from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at the Sebastopol Library. It is presented by the Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire attorneys and financial advisors. Occidental Arts and Ecology Center is offering a pruning workshop from 9 a.m. to noon. Learn how to tame those fruit trees and grape vines from an expert. The cost is $35. OAEC is at 15290 ColemanValley Rd. in Occidental.

The Hot Frittatas kick off Occidental Center for the Arts’ new Saturday Night Dance Series on Saturday (1/19). Gus Garelick, Don Coffin, Gail Sharpsteen and Dennis Hadley play international café music, specializing in the Ballo Liscio dance music of late 19th Century Italy (think mazurkas, polkas, waltzes) melded with French Musettes, Gypsy Jazz and other instrumental music. It’s crab cioppino time made by the fishing families at Bodega Bay at the Bodega Bay Grange Sunday (1/20)from noon on. Reservations must be made in advance for one of the four seatings: noon, 1:30, 3, and 4:30 p.m. Call 875-3516 to make reservations. Cost is$45, $22.50 for children 12 and under.
