A Friday Film Series at Occidental Center for the Arts that will run monthly for five months, opens Friday (1/25) at 7 p.m. It opens with a major premier. Get out your red carpet duds because there will be a red carpet and all that goes with it including champagne. Haute Flash Quartet plays its unique Django Gypsy jazz along with other music at the Sebastopol Library at 2 p.m. It’s free. The library is at the corner of High St. and Bodega Ave.

Occidental Center for the Arts launches a new book “Footnotes” an anthology of 55 Sonoma County authors Sunday (1/27) at 4 p.m. Some of the authors will read their work. There is a drum circle in Graton on Sunday afternoon from 4 to 5:15 p.m. at the Graton Community Club at the corner of Edison and Graton Rds. The cost is $5.
