Occu-pie at Occupy party on Sunday
Occupy Sebastopol is celebrating a one year anniversary, and that it is a permanent fixture on the downtown plaza in Sebastopol. Possibly the most benign of Occupy Movement actions, Occupy Sebastopol, instead of clashing with local police, was greeted with cops carrying coffee and donuts to them. The Sebastopol City Council welcomed the occupiers and allowed them to set up their permanent informational tent. So Sunday at 2 p.m. the city’s 99 percent (and even the remaining one percent) are invited to come and dance to the music of the ever popular Hubbub Club and its brand of revolutionary street music. There will be pie for all. Mr. Music, Jim Corbett, will set up an open mike for everyone to share music and stories. It all happens in the downtown plaza right after the Sebastopol Farmers Market closes.
